Mechanical workshop
Our research often requires specific equipment tailored to the needs of the experiments. Those are typically not commercially available and, thus, have to be home-made. For this purpose, the Chair of Applied Physics operates its own mechanical workshop.
Our mechanical workshop is an apprenticing institution. Within three years, our young colleagues are trained as precision mechanics in the field of machine building.
